Weather and climate in Vietnam
Vietnam lies completely in the tropical areas with the average temperature from 21ºC to 27ºC. However, the climate in Vietnam varies from region to region because of its topography. There are four different reasons including Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter in the Northern Vietnam stretching from Hai Van mountain range to the North.
Thanks to the warm weather in Spring (lasting from February to April), the plants grow fast and the flowers will bloom in all. Besides, the sun will shine almost days of the Summer’s months (from May to August). However, the sudden thundershowers also make summer less hot. Autumn lasting from September to November is prominent with cool air and dry windy weather; the season is always impressive in the eyes of tourists with yellow leaves on the streets and the slight bright sunshine. From November to January is the time of Winter when the weather is cold and dry. Winter is known as the coldest season in a year in Vietnam.
Unlike Northern Vietnam, the regions in southern Vietnam have two main seasons consisting of wet rainy season and dry season. The wet season is outstanding with rainy days and lasts from April to September. Particularly, it is often sunny in every morning and rainy in late afternoons in wet season. By contrast, A dry season spans the months of October to May with the hotter weather. Although the sun shines all days, it is cool at night.
